Kauai Hawaii CondosKauai vacation condos and condo sales Comments Off September 28th, 2010 Writing for the ManI recently started getting a handful of jobs online, creating blogs for little enterprises and web posts for people who require them to promote their blogs. You would imagine that since I do my own writing for my own weblogs that this would be easy, but not always so. Whenever you write for yourself, you select topics you are keen on or at least feel you can do a decent job on in a limited amount of time. When someone sends you a list of themes to write for, it can be on anything! Ever try to write six essays on doorknob hardware, each a minimum of 500 words long? By the third one your fingers are tripping on the computer keyboard and you know you are going to commence giggling madly if you have to put together one more way to say doorknob hardware is neat. I like writing, don’t get me wrong. I started developing the skill because I could see very easily that the easiest and most fun part of putting websites together for me was the writing. So doing the same for someone else and getting money to do it seemed like an clear solution to the lack of money. But in some way whenever I start writing for one of my own blogs, let’s say about adjustable hole saws for my hardware blog, I can find a way to write about it smartly. At least, it feels clever to me. I was reading the entry I did last month for my construction site on building a timber retaining wall and saw that my guidelines were all in order and everything seemed fine. But when another person asked me to write a minor piece about Miami-Dade County Real Estate, I basically froze. I reckon it just proves that even if you can write, it is tough to write for the man.
