Peruvian Tours Offer More Than Machu Picchu

People considering traveling to Peru may be surprised at the great number of Peruvian tours there are available. This is a large country and there is far more to see than Machu Picchu, although that is one of the main reasons people visit. One can easily spend a month traveling through the country and still not see everything.

That being said, the highlight for most people is visiting Machu Picchu, one of the wonders of the world. As there is a great distance between everything and one cannot fly everywhere, some time may be needed to get to all the destinations of interest to you.

People often travel from Lake Titicaca to Colca Canyon and Arequipa. One can trek in the canyon as well if desired. The city is quite beautiful and feels somewhat European. From this location, it’s easy to travel to the mysterious Nazca lines, situated in a desert. This whole trip is frequently done in the other order, so that Machu Picchu, the most important site, is left for last.
