How Do You Keep Your House Clean?

Cleaning your house is not about vanity, yes it does make the place look a lot nicer which is an added bonus, but the real reason for cleaning should be to keep down the level of allergens in the air and to help kill the nasty germs you can find in places like the bathroom which could make you ill. In my opinion the kitchen is the most important place to tackle regularly as that is where food is prepared, so you should have an antibacterial spray to use on your side, and make sure that anything which is used to work with raw meat, like knives and plates, is not used for anything else and put straight into the dishwasher.

The bathroom requires a lot more work as there will be a lot more germs here, so I use an antibacterial spray on the wall and the floor, plus on the toilet, then put some bleach in the toilet around the sides and leave that for an hour or two. That simple procedure should kill most of the bacteria that are lurking in your bathroom, but also make sure you change your towels regularly as a damp towel will breed germs.

Then a problem pretty much everywhere else in the house is dust which is full of dead skin and dust mites and all sorts of nasties. Lots of people just run a duster over their units, but really you need to have polish on your duster to help trap the dust, then take your duster outside and shake it to get the dust out of the house, otherwise it is just going into the air and will settle down again within an hour.

For carpets you can use a vacuum cleaner like the popular Hoover U5140-900, or if they are a real mess then you could try the Hoover F5914-900 which shampoos your carpets to dig out stains and dirt. If you are doing all the things I mentioned above then hopefully you have a much healthier house which also looks and smells nice too.
