Hotels in Belize: Opening Belmopan to the Travelers of the World

A metropolis gets demolished by a tempest yet the nature of the inhabitants could not be overwhelmed – they decided to rebuild the city and a new capital as well. Sounds like a story of an Oscar winning movie, isn’t it? Well, it is not a story for any movie. This is what basically happened when the smallest capital city of the world was create – Belmopan, Belize.

Belmopan was constructed to the east of Belize River, 80 km inland from the former capital, the port of Belize City that was destructed by a hurricane in 1961. The size of Belmopan has grown dramatically over the last several years – due to a increasing number of people that would like to visit or make this dynamic new capital there home. And there were a host of Belmopan hotels that helped me tour this exciting city in an effortless manner.

Those visiting Belmopan often visit the bi-weekly marketplace, the Parliment building and the Guanacaste Park.  Luckily, there are hotels in Belmopan near all of these sites.

If you want to visit a place that is near the rain forest and the mountains then come to Belmopan since there are a wide variety of hotels right in the area - there is bound to be a Belmopan hotel for you. Since there are so many people that visit Belmopan looking for a different experience most of these hotels are prepared to handle almost every types of visitor from single travelers to large families. Not everyone coming to Belmopan wants to spend a great deal on lodging - in that case you can stay at several low-budget accomidations that are available.

There are no 5 star hotels in the Belmpan area but there are still several places you can stay at with a high level of service. They offer facilities like Internet in the rooms, wireless, television, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone and a  host of other facilities, making the stay of their guests truly memorable and pleasurable.

Since Belmopan is centrally located consider making a Belmopan hotel a “base of operations” that you can use to visit to rest of the country.
